During his 30 year career in business brokerage, Dick Flamos has owned several business brokerage firms. Prior to his founding of Texas Industrial Business Brokers, he was Managing Partner of Southland Business Brokers, Charlotte, North Carolina, President and Senior Partner of Certified Business Brokers, Houston, Texas, and President and owner of Abacus Business Brokers, Houston, Texas. Dick has personally appraised and sold over several hundred businesses.
Of the several thousands of business brokers in the nation, Dick is one of the few who has both accreditations of Certified Business Appraiser (CBA) and Merger & Acquisition Master Intermediary (MM&AI). He is known as “the business broker who other brokers turn to for advice”. Although Dick sells a variety of businesses, Dick’s primary focus at TXIBB is in the sale of manufacturing, distribution, dealerships, and service businesses located in the Southwest with gross sales of $1 - $10 million dollars. During his extensive career, Dick has helped hundreds of buyers realize their dream of owning a business.
Prior to his career in business brokerage, Dick was Director of Procurement for a major engineering construction company listed on the New York stock exchange. This position gave him an extensive knowledge of the manufacture and production of rotating machinery, process equipment, instrumentation, fabricated metal products, and piping materials used in the refinery and petro chemical industry in the Gulf coast area.
